Sarah Carey, M.A., A.P.R., is director of communications at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. She holds a master’s degree in English with a concentration in creative writing from Florida State University, where she also received her bachelor’s degree in political science. Accredited in public relations by the Florida Public Relations Association, Sarah grew up in Tallahassee and has lived in Florida most of her life. Sarah is also a longtime member of the Gainesville Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association. She has received five FPRA Image Awards and two grand image awards as well as several UF awards for her PR efforts on behalf of the college and received the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges’ Excellence in Communications Award in 2017.
