Associate professor awarded for excellence in respiratory physiology

Leah Reznikov, Ph.D., an associate professor of physiological sciences at the UF College of Veterinary Medicine, received the Giles F. Filley Memorial Award for Excellence in Respiratory Physiology and Medicine from the American Physiological Society.

This award from the American Physiological Society recognizes excellence in respiratory physiology and medicine and is given to an investigator who holds an academic rank no higher than assistant professor. It is presented annually to an individual demonstrating outstanding promise based on his/her research program in respiratory physiology and medicine and is the highest honor given to an early career scientist in respiratory physiology.

Reznikov was recently promoted to associate professor.
